The anual Plasa tradeshow in London proved to be an exiting week; four very busy days of catching up with customers and industry friends. Thank you all for coming over and let's meet again next year.

Tijdens de Microsoft DevDays 2008 (jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van software-ontwikkelaars op het gebied van Microsoft-technologie) in de Amsterdam RAI, werd de "Geek Night Supershow" gepresenteerd door Donald Hessing, Niels Tanis en Reinhard Brongers van VXcompany.

Tijdens deze show stond de Wii-mote (controller van de Nintendo Wii-Console) centraal, samen met een levensgrote DMX LED-wall van 9 TDE 4x4 panelen. Gedemonstreerd werd hoe eigen Wii-software communiceerde met Canvix via de publiekelijk beschikbare Visual Productions API.
Deze API is speciaal ontwikkeld voor communicatie tussen 3rd-party software en de software-producten van Visual Productions.

Door deze koppeling werd het mogelijk pixels van de DMX-gestuurde LED-wall in te kleuren, beinvloed door signalen van de Wii-mote. Zo kon men met de Wii-mote onder andere de lichtpatronen besturen en zelfs real-time spellen spelen op de LED-wall zoals Zeeslag en Pong.

Perhaps our favourite tradeshow; meeting many new users and distributors certainly made Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt a great week.

The biennial Dutch tradeshow Vakbeurs Theatertechniek offered Visual Productions the perfect stage for presenting its lighting control solutions to the Dutch stage and entertainment lighting market.

It was our company’s second time as exhibitor at this show, this year our emphasis was on the brand new Frontier fool-proof replay unit. Furthermore we offered the Dutch public a real premiere: the introduction of the Din Rail DMX Splitter; a very practical device especially for the installation market.

The Beurs van Berlage (Amsterdam's stock exchange 100 years ago) hosted the international Christmas party of Tommy Hilfiger. The events' lighting package included 120 square meter of LED dancefloor.

The floor was controlled by Canvix using 4 Elites and 1 DMX Input. VisualTouch was also connected for a quick selection of presets.

The LED floor and Canvix was supplied by rental company HGL, additional stage lighting was supplied by Aukes Theatertechniek. The event was produced by Obsession Productions.

The Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam is perhaps Holland's best known cinema. The building is over 80 years old and is renowned for its Art-Deco architecture. For this occasion, a corporate event, the main theatre venue was fitted with 50 m2 LED floor.

The floor was controlled by Canvix Matrix Server, utilizing 2 DMX Output units and 1 DMX Input (for the connection to a fader panel).

Canvix equipment and the LED floor were supplied by DLD Licht & Geluid. Stage lighting was supplied by Jurlights. The event was produced by Habo.

Visual Productions looks back on an exciting week in London. This year's Plasa show has been very intensive; we had the opportunity to meet many users and establish new relations.

On a sunday in August 2007 beat loving party people gathered on a shipyard in Amsterdam for the 'Voltt loves summer' outdoor dance event.

Amsterdam based PGP was contracted for the lighting control. They used Canvix with 3 DMX Outputs and 1 DMX Input (connected to a Avolites Pearl 2004) to control 30 Showtec Pixel Tracks and a few extra dimmer racks.

Cyberdance Sound & Light used Canvix to operate a 36x20 LED wall matrix at the French Riviera in Cannes. Canvix was connected to 5 DMX Output and 1 DMX Input.

Tel-Aviv based GTV uses 7 DMX Output devices to control a 32x32 LED matrix dancefloor for TV productions and events. With thanks to the company and crew of A.Z.A.M LTD this image is taken from a video made during a Bat Mitzvah celebration.

During the Evenement 2007 tradeshow in the city of Utrecht (The Netherlands) Beambox, a new joint venture between Ten Feet and Beam Systems, was presented to the public. Beambox offers operators and control equipment specialized in the area 'where lighting meets video'.

Canvix was asked to join Beambox on their stand to demonstrate our control technology that also 'bridges the gap between lighting and video'.

At Q-Dance's InQontrol house-party, a stunning 16x16 matrix consisting of 256 pieces 1000W PAR64 spots was controlled with Matrix Mania!; the predecessor of Canvix. VisualDMX equipment and operators were supplied by Pretty Good People (Amsterdam, Holland).

Visual Productions experienced a great week in Frankfurt (Germany) during the Prolight+Sound 2007 tradeshow. On the stand we have shown various novelties, including the world premiere of Canvix.

The 8x9 LED matrix covering the facade of Lagoronic's HQ in Venlo (NL) is programmed with our software. The matrix patterns are stored in an Elite replay unit that works 24/7 standalone.
